16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence – November 16, 2018

Members of the Zonta Club of Frankfort stand with Police Chief Troy Bacon, Officer Jeremy Rushton, and Mayor Chris McBarnes after the Mayor signed a Proclamation in support of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.  Beginning November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and ending on December 10, International Human Rights Day, these 16 days are used to draw attention to and raise awareness of violence, both in our community and around the world.  It is an opportunity to encourage and let victims know that there is help and resources available to them; they must step out of the shadows, speak up, and know that they are not alone.
