Zonta Says NO! and the 16 Days – December 4, 2018

Kiwanian Marshall Smith stands with Zontians Jeni Royalty and Susan Kaspar following their presentation to the Frankfort Kiwanis Club on Zonta’s activities and focus during the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women / the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence campaign.

Violence against women and girls is one of the most pervasive human rights violations and a global epidemic. It has no boundaries and includes physical and sexual violence, and harmful practices such as child marriage, rape, female genital cutting and human trafficking. Violence against women and girls threatens countries, inhibits economic progress, and prevents women from contributing to their community and creating better lives for themselves and their families.
