Welcome to Zonta International District 6
Welcome to Zonta International District 6! We hope you will come back often and that the information we provide here is helpful to you.
District 6 is comprised of the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.
- Illinois has three Areas: Area 1, the greater Chicago-land area; Area 3, the clubs in Southern Illinois; Area 5, the north Central region of the state.
- Indiana contains Area 4
- Wisconsin contains Area 2
District 6 is comprised of a world-class city, major agricultural centers producing much of the corn and soybeans used in the world along with a robust dairy industry. We are home to major universities and health care centers. District 6 contains the third largest city in the United States and District 6 Zontians are honored that Chicago is home to Zonta International headquarters.
Zonta International seeks to advance the status of women worldwide by improving the legal, political, economic, educational, health and professional status of women at the global and local levels through service and advocacy. With the generosity and collective action of Zontians and friends around the world, Zonta International has supported projects in 46 countries, provided scholarships and awards to women around the globe, and been a powerful advocate for change in our local and international communities, thereby transforming the world and women's place in it.
