Applications for the 2024 J.M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarship are available
The Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships, first awarded in 1998, are open to women enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program in business, leading to a business management career. The program is designed to encourage women to enter careers and to seek leadership positions in business-related fields in their communities and throughout the world. The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships look to the women of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.
Applications must be submitted through a Zonta Club. Applications for the Zonta Club of Janesville are due to the committee (Janesville_scholarship@zontadistrict6.org) by May 25, 2024.
The Zonta Club of Janesville makes an award of $500 to an outstanding woman in our area who is preparing for a career in business and forwards her application for consideration for additional awards at the District and International levels. Two recent recipients of the award went on to compete at the international level.

Zonta announces 2024 Women with a Vision Scholarship!
The Zonta Club of Janesville’s Women with a Vision Scholarship is now open. The scholarship will be awarded to a woman who is a single mother who intends to pursue an education that will empower her to attain employment that produces family sustaining wages at either Blackhawk Technical College or The University of Wisconsin- Whitewater. Women in STEM Scholarship, Due June 1, 2023
Women of any age and nationality, pursuing a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) degree program at an accredited university/coll
–ege/institute, who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field and are living or studying in a Zonta district/region, are eligible.
Online students are also eligible to apply if enrolled at an accredited university/college/institute.
Students must be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a master’s program at the time the application is submitted to the local Zonta club. Applicants must be in school at the time the scholarship funds are disbursed and must not graduate before April 2024.
The application is attached and must be submitted to Chris Geopfert /Zonta Club of Janesville, WI by June 1, 2023.
Zonta Club of Janesville’s award is $500. The awardee is put into consideration at the district level which places candidates in consideration at the international level. The international award is $5,000.
The Young Women in Public Affairs Award/Scholarship, due March 15, 2024
Young women ages 16-19, for who demonstrate strong leadership skills and a commitment to public service and civic causes should apply for the Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Scholarship. The Zonta Club and Janesville and Zonta International recognize that women are underrepresented in public leadership and in the workforce. This award acknowledges the young women with a passion for public and civic service and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.
The award at the club level is $500. Awardees are placed into consideration at the district level and then at the international level where the award is $5,000.
The fillable application, description, recommendation form, and verification form are attached.
