Sharon Langenbeck, PhD, retired in 2008 after 18 years at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Sharon was the Section Manager for Mechanical Engineering at JPL, managing over 200 mechanical engineers doing design and development of spacecraft, instruments
and rovers.

Sharon is the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship Program Chairman for the 2012-2014 biennium. She served on the committee from 1988-1992 and was the committee chairman from 1992-2000 and again in the 2010-2012 biennium.

Jon Bernardi

Jon Bernardi currently works with the consulting firm ThinkReliability. His role is as instructor and facilitator teaching people a problem solving tool called – Cause Mapping ™. This is a visual-based approach to enable people to draw a “map” of an issue in order to arrive at a range of solutions. He has been presenting this tool to a wide range of industries.

Jon retired in 2010 as the corporate manager for process safety for The Lubrizol Corporation. In that role Jon had global responsibility for the implementation of safety systems designed to ensure each manufacturing plant prevents the accidental release of materials.
