THANK YOU, PEG, for 50 YEARS IN ZONTA!!!
When Peg Dowling submitted her 2024 Zonta dues, she realized it was her 50th experience with the yearly task. When her fellow Zonta members realized that fact, they planned to celebrate! Our June club meeting was dedicated to celebrating Peg’s years in Zonta, but she had no idea of that plan.
When she walked into the restaurant, she was accompanied by a long-time friend. She often brings guests to share what Zonta is all about, and Peg thought she was part of a program panel about the global organization of Zonta.
Besides balloons and a big cake, Peg was visibly surprised to see her son and his family seated at the table.
As customary with Peg, she had a BIG smile on her face all evening and shared memories from the past. She originally belonged to Zonta Club of Oak Park until that club was dissolved; still Peg wanted to stay in Zonta, joining a newly-formed Zonta e-club. Missing in-person meetings, Peg looked for a new club to join; our Oak Brook club proudly welcomed her into our club.

Currently, Peg is Treasurer of our Zonta Foundation of Greater Chicago.
Thus, Peg presented our club’s donation to POISED FOR SUCCESS
